Bainbridge Island is known for its special...almost secret hideaways. Crystal Springs Beach is a real favorite of many new and return guests and is a hideaway for many wanting to relax and experience a getaway! Those who know the island....know how great Crystal Springs' afternoon sun is on a summer day! Southern exposure is gold at the Crystal Springs Cutler House. It is a private waterfront home with a guest house and is set up to sleep a total of 6 people.
Enjoy the Great Southern Exposure in this fabulous Crystal Springs home where true Indoor/Outdoor living is provided. A special feature is the "Nanawall" (a custom glass accordion door made in Germany) in the living room which opens the entire wall to the outside – to be able to enjoy the sunshine and ocean breeze and to relax, & dine on the waterfront patio. Lovely Brown Jordan furniture is provided for you and includes table, chairs, umbrella, and chaise.
Sitting on the patio overlooking the water on any beautiful summer day is Heaven! As the day wears on and the sun starts to set, it is so fun to watch the boat traffic go by and chat with friends over the fire in the fire pit and have a martini or glass of wine!
There is abundant sea life – Crystal Springs is full of eagles, herons, and the occasional seal, etc. Many people enjoy hearing the sounds of the eagles playing or vying for food. It is quite amazing.
If the weather turns cool, it is so beautiful to watch the storms roll in and light a fire – the fire has a custom insert that helps to provide heat – and there is always plenty of wood to build a fire.
You can rent some kayaks and go for a paddle… walk down the stairs in front and to the left of the property and launch your boat....and/or you can just enjoy being out on the water…. (Ask us about a list of rentals)
Enjoy a walk down the street to the Point White Pier where there is another beach for you to enjoy. Lots of sand and activity there. In the summer it is a popular spot to hang out, go swimming....or go fishing...as you like it....! Do make sure you note the tide schedule before taking any dips or dives.
Crystal Springs is a walker's and biker's paradise – enjoy strolling, biking, jogging, etc , along the waterfront on a beautiful island with a warm heart!
Lynwood Center...an island favorite...with Lynwood Historic Movie Theatre, A Treehouse Cafe and Bar (Coffee & Baguettes in the morning...Salad, Soups and Sandwiches for lunch and Pizza, Pasta and Salads for dinner....beer on tap and a wine selection), Edna's Beach Cafe (beautiful views overlooking the water and Lynwood Center...with a lovely menu serving lunch and dinner all week long....must go to check out the library bar with fireplace), A Music Store, Thai Restaurant and Coyote Cafe and the Lynwood Market.....are all there for you to enjoy!
Dowtown Winslow..and the Bainbridge/Seattle Ferry is about 8 minutes by car from the Crystal Springs Cutler House.
DETAILS ABOUT THE HOUSE AND GUEST HOUSE: House has a King bed in the Master and a Queen in the 2nd bedroom. The guest house has a Queen bed. The house has a 50" Plasma TV with surround sound and a Washer and Dryer. Garage is also available to guests.
